If you missed my previous post about the recently launched Health Box check it out before you go any further. I got lucky – they sent me one so I dug in immediately (& I’m still digging in) but since you’re making me choose, here are my top picks (in no particular order):
- Wedgewood race food (cranberry & almond flavour)
This was the 1st of all the items in the box to be devoured. I wasn’t sure what to expect at 1st but as soon as I saw the Wedgewood logo & recognised them as the nougat people & knew it’d be good. It tasted delish – I wasn’t running any sort of race & scoffed all 3 pieces!
- African Organics natural shampoo (dry/treated hair)
I wouldn’t have expected this in the Health Box but was so delighted being rather hair involved. My (preconceived) fear with natural hair products is that they’ll smell bad/”too natural” but not at all. The fragrance is pleasant & it has loads of natural oils (coconut, rosemary & spearmint) alongside rooibos as the main ingredient. It’s free of nasties & the pump head is super handy.
- Holly’s Wholefood chocolate coated dates (pitted)
I grew up on dates, especially during Ramadaan to break fast. I’ve seen lots of variations of dates before (my favourite are those stuffed with an almond & rolled in coconut). I approached this combo of dates & chocolate with some trepidation but let’s just say that I’m chomping on them I write this post.
My fro is getting bigger & bigger & this is just what I needed to keep it under control & out of my way when I’m exercising & even just lazing around the house. It has loads of stretch & even got around my big head easily. How cute is the pink?
This is always a handy one for me since all my family & many of my friends live in Cape Town. It’s valid till the end of December 2014 which works well because I hate that feeling when you’re forced to use a voucher just because it will expire soon!
I still have so many goodies I’m enjoying from my February Valentines Health Box but the March one already has my attention – see some of the brands to look forward to here.
Health Box has definitely injected some fun into getting healthy for me. Check out their site for more details.
