I’ve been watching this video almost everyday since I first saw it & I’m not tired of it yet.
It struck me for 3 reasons:
1.) It’s an advert but doesn’t feel like an advert at all. It’s a beautiful story that captivates you & even when it’s over you want more!
2.) I wanted to do ballet as an extra mural when I was in primary school but I joined the school halfway through & they said I’d needed to have started back in Sub A. When the time came to break up for our chosen extra mural I always watched the ballet girls get out their pink leotards, stocking & ballet slippers with incredible envy.
3.) The best all round beauty/fashion/life advice I ever received was from a trichologist who quite simply said “Work with what you have.” What an exemplary example Misty Copeland is of that! Considered a prodigy, she only started ballet at 13 (very late in the ballet world) went on to become the 3rd ever Black soloist in the American Ballet Theatre & the first in over 20 years….
I didn’t even know this brand, Under Armour existed in SA until this past weekend I was looking for leggings and saw them on shelf. And this video made me want them! Well done marketers!
