MacBook perfume. I reckon this far is too far….

Undoubtedly, the iWorld beckons. This story caught my eye this week on the Flux Trends newsletter. By the end of it I found myself literally *smdh*.

Smell – MacBook perfume

A team of Australian artists has collaborated with Air Aroma to create a scent based on the smell of a brand new unopened MacBook. To replicate the fragrance, the team sent a MacBook to a scent lab in France where professional perfume-makers used the sample to collect fragrance notes of glue, plastic, rubber and paper which don’t sound all that sexy, but are assuredly appealing. The fragrance is not available for retail but will be on display in May at an exhibition in Melbourne. (SB)
