The blogger behind the blog – Zaahirah Bhamjee of Complete Disbelief
It’s Friday & I hope its been a good week for everyone. I thought I’d end the week with the second instalment of my new series of blogger interviews.
Zaahirah Bhamjee is a lifestyle, beauty & tech blogger over at Complete Disbelief as well as a freelance writer. She’s also gorgeous but she omits this bit of info 🙂 She’s been blogging since she was 14 & describes her blog as a marketing experiment!
You can catch up with Zaahirah on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Have a great weekend!

PS if you missed the first interview in this series, read all about Tendayi Kunaka from Africanhairblog over here.

Q1: How would you describe your blog to someone who has never read it?
A collection of things I am genuinely interested in, with the odd splattering of a consumer complaint. I feel like nothing doesn’t belong on my blog.
Q2: Where does the name Zaamissbowtie come from?
It’s a crazy story related to a T shirt I had with a bow-tie on it. I renamed my Facebook profile to Zaahirah misses bow-tie in honour of the T shirt when it was finally mistaken to trash and I couldn’t let go.
3: Tell us a bit about you. Outside of the blog, who is Zaahirah?
I’m really a bit of a geek. I love all things technology. I spend a lot of time writing and I’ve recently discovered cooking. It’s my newest love. I can’t spend a day without my boyfriend and I have a small circle of friends I trust.
Q4: What one fact about you would people would be most surprised to know?
I only developed an interest in makeup and beauty after I started Complete Disbelief.
Q5: If money & time was no object, I would….
Run my own business from an island somewhere and travel. My dream is to successfully run my own company one day.
Q6: What’s your most recent purchase?
I just bought the Bioderma Sensibio H20. I’m told it’s the best makeup remover around.
Q7: You recently started Ladybloggers – what’s it about & what is the objective?
Ladybloggers is about creating a community of support amongst ladies blogging in South Africa. All the events are based around three sets of blogging ‘skills’ and everyone is welcome. I feel like there’s so much opinion and knowledge and I want to connect everyone and help them feel proud of their blogs.
Q8: You’re working, studying, offering web design & photography services – what’s next for Complete Disbelief – anything you can share that your readers can look forward to?
I’m trying to focus on my writing for other publications this year, and I’ve just made some changes at Complete Disbelief. I’ve tweaked the look & feel and readers can start expecting posts over a wider variety of topics.
