We got back into Jozi on Sunday evening, tired, happy & still reliving endless anecdotes of the highlights of our 10 days.
It’s a long trek back. We left Porto, north Portugal at 2pm (SA time) on Saturday & walked into our apartment some 29 hours later desperate for a shower & sleep. We had a really good stay despite the weather (it was wet & I packed badly – nothing that some shopping couldn’t fix!). We have over 1000 pictures between us to sort through (oh the task of choosing the final +- dozen that’ll make it onto this blog) – but that’s really all part of the fun for me. Our bags, of course are still in the same exact spot that we dumped them when we walked in 🙂
Today I actually need a bit of help. Before I went off on this trip I saw The Big Blog Exchange online. I was wowed when I read it. I bookmarked it & went back a couple of times to re read it to ensure I didn’t miss anything. It’s a project that will see “16 passionate bloggers will swap lives, blogs, cultures and places simultaneously in real life for ten days (7th June to 17th June)”. Imagine that.
Honestly its a bigger opportunity that I could have dreamed, but dreaming is my thing & I knew I had to try. If there’s one lesson Wiscellaneous has taught me it’s that with some hustling & work, anything is possible. I hate asking (it’s perhaps the reason I haven’t entered sooner) but there isn’t another way, so if you have enjoyed Wiscellaneous, please indulge me with your vote – it takes 15 seconds (I’ve timed it). Once you have, you’ll get a confirmation email, please click the enclosed link to confirm your vote…
PS I did put a few posts out while I was away, if you missed them, here they are:
