The brainchild of Catherine Corry, Collective is a monthly pop up market that launched in December last year with the idea to showcase local designers (love that!). These (hand picked) budding entrepreneurs would likely not be able to have their own fixed retail space where they can interact with customers 1st hand in building their brands. Catherine (owner of events company I heart Joburg) is also behind the Neighbourgoods Market as well as the 70 Juta Street hub that’s had suburbanites streaming into the city like never before.
The venue is the The Rooftop at 3 Desmond Street, once a dull industrial area & now a trendy design hub. I hope the weather plays along, not a shabby view!

There’ll be lots of Winter fashion & one of my favourite local designers, Margot Molyneux (I 1st mentioned her in this post) will be there too. The hubby is excited that Bean There will have a stall, so if all else fails thats where he’ll park off while I shop 🙂
I don’t know how, but I’ve missed every single one so far so I’m determined not to miss this one! Collective takes place on the 1st Sunday on every month, so mark your calendars (note to self!)
Ps you can check out my review of the Collective here 🙂
