I’ve been stalking GirlGuides for some time now so I was only too chuffed when the editor Tiana asked if I’d be keen for them to post my “How to shop online Asos 101” piece on their site.
If you don’t know the site, GirlGuides it’s a tech hub written from a woman’s perspective with more than 20 ladies contributing & they’re anywhere from moms to students. What I like is that the info is digestible & practical without being condescending & covers anything from gadget & app reviews, tech news, “how to” articles (like my Asos piece) and tech events (I found out about Girl Geek Dinners from them).
It still makes me sad (& mad) when I attend tech events/launches time & time again & only see a handful of ladies there (it’s 2013!?). It’s part of the reason I started the tech segment of Wiscelleneous. Ok rant over…
You can check out my post on their site here or read the original post here.
I really only wrote this piece because so many people would ask me about how to go about international online shopping & while I’m keen to help, I wanted to make sure I didn’t leave anything out. I actually really enjoy sharing all the info I know because I wish I had known this stuff from the beginning when I started shopping (read splurging) online with them.
If you’ve shopped online at international sites, what has your experience been? Any advice for those dreaded taxes?
