I’d heard about Clinique’s new pop-up counter in my ‘hood for some weeks now but for some reason just couldn’t make the 1km trek across Nelson Mandela bridge to get there. Well when I heard that David Tlale was going to make an appearance it was really all the motivation that I needed!
In a bold, creative and rather refreshing move, Clinique has literally decided to set up shop in Jhb CBD, Braamfontein to be exact to give the urban customer (that would be me!) more choice and convenience. The first of it’s kind in the world for the brand, don’t expect a shoddy little shop just because it’s in the city (and basically student central!). The counter carries Clinique’s full range and has their trade mark consultants clad in white coats on site to advise you too, pretty much like you would expect in a premium mall.
It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of city rejuvenation, so this got my attention quickly. And since we were in the City of Gold, Clinique partnered with David Tlale to make a range of sparkly gold dresses for the occasion. I loved that he said there is no such thing as being overdressed, life’s too short!
You can’t miss the splash of colour that the Clinique pop-up counter has added to Melle Street, Braamfontein (source)
I have always been a fan a Clinique’s, clean look & feel
The man himself, David Tlale
Gold, gold and more gold!
I’m keen to head back when the store is bit quieter and take a closer look around. I know that the Clinique team has been quite busy with a number of launches recently, so watch this space for more info soon!
