Here’s a look at what went down at the final announcement…
I had the opportunity to drive with Alex on a number of days. He’s a great contestant, even before the Odyssey started. One of my memories of him is back at boot camp (the qualifier for the Odyssey) on the day when we did the obstacle course. After finishing what felt like an insane physical challenge (well, it felt that way to me, I ended up coming 2nd last) he ran back through the course and cheered on those of us who were struggling to finish up. If it wasn’t for him telling me that the finishing line was just 300m away, I’m not sure I would have made it onto the Odyssey at all…
A humble gentleman, we couldn’t be happier for him.
Huge congrats Alex and may your Ranger take you to many tough and beautiful places!
Ps if you missed the previous posts about the Odyssey you can catch up on it all here.
