SKIP and DESTINY Fashion Exchange – now with Pop-Up Stores

I’ve seen the SKIP/Destiny Magazine Fashion Exchanges advertised for a while and I’m finally going to check one out this week.

This is the 2nd of 6 events planned and the last one held in Pretoria earlier this month looked super glam! Basically you bring along at least 3 pre loved items and mingle  while you “swap to shop” all while you sip champagne & nibble on canapés. SKIP will share garment care tips (I need this!) and trends expert & fashion guru Dion Chang will be doing a short talk while the entertainment will be provided by Lindiwe Suttle – can’t wait to hear her in person for the first time.

What’s different to the previous Fashion Exchanges is that local designers will have pop-up stores that we can browse so there’s Maria McCloy (a natural who I first met at The Collective & recently featured on CNN!), Eda Rose with her shoe brand ER Collection, Kiyomi, Morphe, Hunadi and Scrabbyl to look forward to too. Not to mention The Maslow is one of my favourite venues so all in all this should be a goodie!
