Win tickets to Delicious – an international food & music festival coming to SA!

We may not have the mountain or the sea but we can’t argue that Jozi has loads happening on the foodie scene. That said I do think it’s become more of the same recently but when I saw the TV ad for the Delicious it really got my attention. Two things we’re huge on as South Africans is music & food & this festival will bring us the very best of both.

Expect over 70 artisan food stalls & celebrity UK chefs Aldo Zilli, Ed Baines & John Burton Race who will bring us their respective pop-up restaurants (bookings open for lunch & dinner). One thing I’m looking forward to is Ocean Basket’s pop up sushi bar where they’ll be hosting  Sushi World Cup 2013 winner Pepi Anevski.

The entertainment will be led by Jamiroquai (!!!) & a host of top local musicians like Lira, Danny K, Khuli Chana, Prime Circle BlackByrd, Household Funk & Mi Casa. Oh and all of this happening at Blue Hills Equestrian Estate – which I’m imagining is going to be stunning with Spring in Jozi.

General admission entry will cost R380 (R330 to DSTV premium subscribers) via Computicket and hospitality packages are also available. Now I’ve moaned in the past about having to pay an entry fee to food markets but just looking at the entertainment line up alone, the cash is well worth it. Children under 12 will cost  R100 a day and children under 3 are free. Doors open daily at 12pm. Full details on their website.

And of course I’ve secured a set of double tickets for one lucky reader to join me at the festival! All you need to do to enter is comment below on this post telling me which of the local music acts planned (Lira, Danny K, Khuli Chana, Prime Circle,  BlackByrd, Household Funk & Mi Casa) is your favourite  – simple as that!

If you’re keen & want an extra entry (remember you must still comment first), you can do any (or all!) of the following (each earns you 1 additional entry):

  1. subscribe to this blog (see subscribe button on the right)
  2. follow me on twitter (@wisaal)
  3. tweet about this competition as follows (you may copy & paste): I’ve entered to win tickets to the international food & music festival, @DeliciousFestSA to see Jamiroquai with @wisaal  http://wp.me/p3aom1-23j!

Best of luck – competition closes at midnight Wednesday 2nd  October 2013!

See you there!
