A new ethnic salon for SA – candi&co by Sorbet!

If I had R10 for every time some asked me to recommend a good salon for ethnic hair I’d take that stash & buy the darn salon for myself!

I’ve had a bad run recently when I needed to go in for a trim (more like shaping) but don’t get me started, you can read  about that here.

So there I was minding my own business when someone tagged me in above picture on Facebook (thanks Nicki!) about the launch of candi&co. Sorbet (as in the nail bar, I’ve reviewed them here) aren’t really top of mind when it comes to hair never mind ethnic hair so as happy as I am that they’re doing this, I didn’t see it coming. Well, to be fair they do have the Sorbet Dry Bars which I’ve heard good things about but I haven’t tried since I’m quite heat averse at this point (they specialise in wash & blow dry’s predominantly).

Let’s face it, there are lots of ethic salons around but none that I can vouch for and certainly none that are good with natural hair.

They haven’t posted any further details & I have a gazillion questions so we’ll just have to wait and see. I can’t wait to see what candi&co are going to get up to. Here’s hoping!

Be kind to your hair!
