So I finally made it out to Kramerville for the Collective yesterday – I was beginning to think the universe was conspiring against me!
It’s a smallish market with a really awesome view over Jozi’s lush Northern suburbs (the weather definitely played along nicely) & is organized by the same team behind the Neighbourgoods (more on that in this post). The selection of stalls interesting (there’s a bit of everything) & it makes for a really relaxed Sunday afternoon for the whole family.
There are only 2 food stalls so if you’re fussy maybe don’t come hungry. Overall the market was well-organized, not too full, with a chilled vibe & clean loos (this is important people!). I loved the tan that I left with, you may want to slap on some sunblock.
Welcome to the Collective. Champagne anyone?
Just the view alone is worth checking out. Latte art courtesy of Freeman, barista at Bean There Coffee.
Right. Priorities. Before I started looking around I fuelled up with brekkie- eggs benedict with salmon (double of course) R50 & an Americano from Bean There (R15).
There’s a large bar in the centre of the space – the busiest stall at the Collective 🙂
The stalls are a mix of clothing, accessories & décor.
One of my favourite SA designers, Margot Molyneux was there too.
I don’t know hot to explain how cool these wallets are – just ask for a demo!
Lets not deny it, Winter’s coming…
My leather obsession continues. These items from Red Oker are hand stitched.
The kids aren’t forgotten with pottery throwing. How cute is little Ajla?
The Collective takes place on the 1st Sunday of every month. The next one will be on the 5th of May – if only the weather would keep till then!
