Margot Molyneux launches online store

Now for some good fashion news… One of my favourite local South African designers, Cape Town based Margot Molyneux has taken her business a step ahead of the pack & launched an online store. Her designs first caught my eye last year when I was down on holiday due to their simple, classic appeal & soft fabrics.

Shipping costs R60 & takes 3 days for local & I was pleasantly surprised to see that they’re even offering international delivery for R150 that will reach you in 7-10 days.  They also have a sizing guide online which is essential for any new brand you’re buying from.

True to form, the site is uncluttered & a breeze to use. You can opt to see all the items at once or shop by category (i.e. dresses, shirts, skirts etc.) instead.

Here are some of my favourite picks from the store:

A cowl neck is absolutely timeless. For my shape this length is perfect. This cowl dress comes in navy for R480.

I can think of so many ways to wear this black & stone maxi skirt, R520. I love the way the fabric (rayon) falls. I digress but I must mention that I love that they’ve paired it with tan brogues…

Cape in navy, R720.  The arm slits are interesting & I adore that it ties with a front belt (who doesnt need a little cinching?). It only comes in 1 size though, not sure about that…

maxi-watermelon-2_610WI’m  a sucker for a maxi dress! This watermelon colour is sensational! R560. Check out this post that I dedicated just to maxi dresses 🙂

You can also catch Margot Molyneux on sale at The Old Biscuit Mill, The Neighbourhoods Market, & The Collective & a number of other stockists. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for Winter!

PS Margot Molyneux has started The Poncho Project, an initiative to keep homeless people warm over Winter by teaming up with a local shelter to give them a fleece poncho. Each poncho costs R60 for adults or R40 for kids & is made in the Margot Molyneux studios. The mentioned costs are to cover just fabric & labour as its a non profit project. What a great way to pay it forward in the icy Cape Winters.

Happy shopping & keep warm!
